Faithful in the New Year! - Minta Buse

We did it! We made it to 2021. While not much has changed for us in terms of COVID restrictions, this was an eventful month for us in terms of ministry service and activities.

We started serving meals again on Tuesdays thanks to the generosity of Northview Community Church, South Everett 4 Square, and help from our very own interns and student leaders. Our team cooked a huge spaghetti feast that we delivered to our students and families this week! Each time we do delivery, we get to check in with our kids, ask about their family, school, life in general, tell them that God loves them, that we will be thinking and praying for them, and that we love them too!

Other cool moments this month included our participation in the King County MLK Prayer Breakfast and some of my long time students helping to lead virtual church worship. These students I have know their entire lives!

God has been so good and faithful to us, and so we and turn, seek to be good to and faithful in the lives and neighborhoods he has called us to serve!

  • Our student, Alex (who was on life support in December), is now in a recovery center and responding with looks and gestures to his family and friends.
  • God has continued to bless us financially this year. We were able to exceed our year end financial goal!
  • Our student leader, Consuelo, was baptized in December!

  • Pray that Alex would continue to heal.
  • Pray for our families and students who are without work and trying to figure out immigration.
  • Pray for our students to be drawn to Jesus!
