Jesus is the reason for the season!

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulders; and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." - Isaiah 9:6

On December 19th, Cultured Ministries had a Christmas Pajama Party! The Christmas Party was the first official event we've hosted since the transition into the new building. We were able to reach 50 kids that night - truly a blessing and a success! We had students from all over the community attend - demonstrating that we are reaching the majority of our schools in some capacity. Our party consisted of eating breakfast food for dinner, dancing, watching movies, and karaoke. It was an amazing way to start the ministry and fulfill the needs of our youth by having a positive and safe place for them to hangout and have fun.

As a Bible study leader during lunches and a dance coach at Franklin, I have been able to see God working through both. My dance captains are also the leaders of the Bible study with other 15 students in attendance as we now focus on discipleship training which we call CORE. Outside of Bible study, my dance team performed for the school assembly and I am able to connect with the students on different levels while sharing the Gospel.

One of the goals of Cultured is to also give back to our community and our students. This year, we were able to give a gift of Christmas shirts to our youth as well as taking some students Christmas shopping. Through the blessing of $1,500 in funds from people supporting our South Seattle ministry, we were able to purchase gifts for a family who had lost their mother last summer and a student who is struggling with lonliness. We are more than thankful for the support and love people has shown to us!

Lastly, our ministry site was blessed with a van to help us do more outreach in our community and drive kids to the programs and events. It is a huge blessing!
